Can you cycle with a prolapse? I spent ten years assuming I could not, and nobody had ever told me that. Not a doctor, not a physio, not a health visitor. I had simply decided somewhere along the way that a bike would be uncomfortable, that uncomfortable would become painful, and that painful might bring my symptoms back. I never tested it once.
Then my youngest asked if I had a bike, because he wanted to show me the tracks and hills he had been exploring on his own in the far north of Scotland. And I did not have one.
In this video I tell you exactly what happened when I bought a second hand bike in Thurso and got back on. What I felt on the saddle. What I was frightened of afterwards. And what actually happened. One woman, one bike, one body. I am not telling you what yours will do. I am telling you what mine did, and that nobody had ever actually told me not to.
The honest answer starts at 13:23 if you want to go straight there.
Underneath the bike sits the bigger thing. I had become the woman I talk to every week on this podcast. And it took a month with no work, no diary and a lot of sky before I could see it.
This is the last episode until January. Here is why, and here is what is coming.
